FESTIVE DIWALI MAKEUP IDEAS 2017

Diwali is just around the corner and we would not want our lovely readers to attend the festivities, wearing the same old diwali makeup look. This year, there are so many newer lipstick shades and  makeup looks to play around with. So, pair up our suggested makeup looks with your ethnic anarkalis, sarees and lehengas and be the diva. If you do not have the shades required to create these looks, no worries! You can always go for online shopping!!

#1 Earthy Orange lips for Diwali

Our very own B Town diva, Deepika Padukone has been spotted wearing Orange lip shades at various award functions and premiers. Most Indian women have medium to dusky skin complexion which goes really well with these kind of shades. To balance this bold colour, keep rest of the makeup minimalistic. A dewy base makeup with a bit of highlighting works best with this look.

#2 Dramatic eyes with sheer lips.

If you are not a big fan of popping lip colours, you can always go for sheer lip shades with a hint of gloss. To add some drama to your look, define your eyes with kajal and eyeliner and put on oodles of mascara. The base should be kept neat and dewy.

#3 Wear a bold Red pout

Red lipsticks are timeless. They have never gone out of fashion and never will. While wearing Red lipstick, you must exfoliate and moisturize your lips beforehand as all the attention would be towards your pout. Always, use a lip liner to define your lips and fill in the colour followed by filling with the lipstick.

If your lips are thin and you want them to look plump, use a white lip pencil in the centre of the lip and then blend in really well. Coat with gloss to create an illusion of a fuller lip. Those of you, who have thick lips and want to wear Red lipstick, avoid the gloss and go for a matte shade.

With Red lips, a flush of Pink on the cheeks and a winged eyeliner looks the best. Avoid too much eye makeup.

#4 Breakup with conventional colours

Berry Stained lips are hot this season so, you can break up with the Reds, Pinks and Magentas. Go for deep colours like Mauve, Berry, Maroon and Marsala. These colours look extremely luscious. Put on your eyeliner and clear mascara with a matte base for this look.

#5 Chocolate makeup

Well, we are not suggesting you smear your chocolate but go for shades in the Chocolate family. Wear milk Chocolate shade on your lips and add some contours on your cheeks for that chiseled look. For eyes, go for a Brown and copper smokey eye with winged eyeliner. We assure you will look as tempting as Chocolate, itself.

So this festive season, have fun looking your stunning best and let the lips do the talking. We have shown you the top five trends that are doing the rounds this season. We hope, you can recreate these looks and look awesome this Diwali.Go shopping or shop online because ladies, It is now time for you to be the pataka!
