BOOK REVIEW: LANTERNS FOR THE DARK BY RHEAA NOOR
BOOK BLURB:
“You are not too much. You are not too loud. You are never, not once, unloved.” Lanterns for the Dark is a tender companion for the nights that feel endless and the mornings that feel sharp. In this debut poetry collection, Rheaa Noor offers a series of intimate letters to the self — poems that hold grief, heartbreak, and longing with both hands, and gently guide them toward healing. Each page is a lantern, lit softly, showing the way back to courage, softness, and the choice to stay. This book is for anyone learning to love themselves again, for those carrying heavy nights, and for anyone who needs a reminder that they are still here — and worthy of light.
BOOK REVIEW :
"That loss is vast, but love is vaster"
I received this book at the right time because I can resonate with the poems as I have experienced similar emotions. Author Rheaa Noor began these poems as a letter to herself and as a reassurance to her own thoughts. All the poems in this short poetry book collection are penned so beautifully to address themes such as depths of love, heartbreak, healing, self-love, understanding self-worth, reconnection with the self, forgiveness, letting go and coming back to yourself by rebuilding self.
The poems in this book reminds us that we can always choose to embrace our wounds and flaws and still learn to keep looking for joy, laughter, hope and love.
The title of this book 'Lanterns for the Dark' is an apt title. Her writing is raw and honest. If you're also someone who is finding your way back to yourself then this is the right book for you too. This will prove to be a worthy companion for readers who are looking to cultivate emotional resilience.
