A friend like Karna is a story of rivalry between two corporate houses- The Desais and The Sahnis. The Desais are the modern day media barons and the Sahnis are the industrialist and power brokers. There is a never ending conflict between the two families. Veer Singhi is the protagonist and he is a loyal employee and a friend like karna to Jay, and considers him more like a brother than a friend. Nisha is an ambitious designer and rival of Jay. Veer is an ideal and reliable friend of Jay and saves him from every difficult situation in which Jay lands himself in. But then the story has many twists and as the story progresses, readers are introduced to too many dark secrets which will change the lives of many characters in the story. This book explores the harsh reality of corporate wars and it shows how people go blind for the love of power and they don't even think twice before joining hands with underworld mafia. This is a story about love, true friendships and loyalty and revenge. Readers will find everything in this book from suspense to thrill to drama.
Character of Veer is really admirable as He never leaves his friend no matter what the situation is and sets an example of authentic and true human friendships.
The story is fast paced and you would love to finish it in one go. The characterization and narration is done well. Author and his brilliant storytelling left me impressed.
RATING: 5/5 and I would say its an absolute page-turner and a must-read!
