BOOK REVIEW:
A Sniper's Eye by Mainak Dhar is a gripping thriller novel with a strong appeal for fans of suspense and thriller novels. Aaditya Ghosh is the protagonist and the story revolves around him and is also narrated from his point of view. Aaditya is a former major in Indian Army and left his past behind due to some reasons and joined corporate sector. The story starts with Aaditya and his love Zoya's date in a shopping mall of Mumbai where a man is shot dead. Aaditya tries to save the life of people he loves by killing the terrorist and he becomes the person he left behind. His this heroic act gets him media attention which he never wanted. All his efforts to hide his past fails and his real identity is revealed. Not only this, his life gets in trouble when he comes to know that there are snipers attacks targeted at Army Officers. Will he be able to overcome this threat from Sniper Attacks. Will Zoya love him after knowing his dark past or not, will he be able to live a normal life, you'll have to read the book to know all these answers and there is so much in this book that you would love to read!
WHAT I LOVED IN THE BOOK:
I got to know a lot about struggles of Army officers and their families. I loved Aaditya's character a lot, specially how he uses his intelligence and his quick decision taking power in tough times. The characterization is good, the plot is intriguing and the storyline is really interesting. Suspense was maintained till the end and I found the book really engaging and action-packed! I loved the writing style of the author. I found the book cover and the title apt.
RATING: I would give it 5/5 stars. I would highly recommend this book to everyone as it was a thrilling read. Please make sure you pick it up.
