Paneer Kofta Recipe

Hello friends,

Paneer Kofta is one of my favourite dish. Some dishes need hard work and this is one such dish. But it is worth the effort. I made this dish and my family loved it.

INGREDIENTS:

4 Tomatoes
3 Onions
2 Green chillies
Ginger-garlic paste
Cottage Cheese
3 boiled and mashed potatoes
2 tbsp gram flour
Butter
Salt
Chilly Powder
Coriander Powder
Cumin seed
Oil to fry
Paneer Masala(optional)

METHOD:

1.First boil chopped onions and tomatoes in water. Now take out the tomatoes and onions to make a smooth puree in mixer. You can keep the boiled water and use it in gravy later. Now keep this puree aside.

2.Prepare balls of mashed cottage cheese and potatoes. For making balls, you need to add salt, red chilly powder and gram flour in mashed potatoes and cottage cheese. Make small balls and fry them on medium flame (you can also add brown bread crumbs in the mixture if you want crispy balls). Take them out on a kitchen paper so that the oil is soaked by paper.

3.Gravy- First heat the pan, and add 2 tbsp oil. Add cumin seeds and as soon as they start crackle, add ginger garlic paste. Now add tomato and onion puree. Add salt, red chilly powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Now add that boiled water which we kept aside. After the gravy is thick and properly cooked you can add paneer balls to it and cook for another 5-10 mins. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Special step: First step in this recipe is really important to get a smooth gravy.
